AISI 4140 alloy steel belongs to medium hardenability steel with excellent fatigue resistance, good processability and small deformation when processing. After heat treatment, 4140 steel have good intensity and nice synthetic mechanical property. This alloy structural steel used in the manufacture of high strength forgings, such as Locomotive traction with the big gear, transmission gears, rear axle, huge load of connecting rod and spring clips, also for numerous high-tensile machinery parts and tools, can also be used for bending machine mould, etc.
