Description
Also known as SUP9. Spring steels are deep hardening steels and are quenched in oil. When heat treated correctly, they are perfect for big knives and swords, where performance and toughness really matter. When used in the oil hardened and tempered condition spring steel combines spring characteristics with good wear and abrasion resistance. Hardened offers excellent toughness and shock resistance which make it a suitable alloy spring steel for parts exposed to stress, vibration and shock.
